The Hudson PTO is planning the 53rd Annual Pancake Breakfast. This community-wide fund-raiser will be Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the High School Commons from 8am - 1pm. In the past, Boy Scout Troops, Girl Scout Troops, and various school and community groups have helped set up and clean-up. Help is again needed this year!

Volunteer Coordinator Traci Miller is reaching out to various groups in town to staff the breakfast. Through the Hudson Newcomers Club, even people new to town are getting involved in this special event.

According to Miller, “Like last year, we are looking for volunteer families to work a shift together at the Pancake Breakfast. This is a great way to teach children what the Pancake Breakfast is all about – helping others and earning money for their classrooms.”

“Many of the positions we need covered – clearing and resetting tables and replenishing supplies – are done easily by elementary students and their parents. So we’d love to have more families come out to volunteer together.”

Your organization, neighborhood group or family members can volunteer a shift at the 53rd Annual PTO Pancake Breakfast by contacting Traci Miller at Traci.Miller@windstream.net or at 330.931.8427.

This PTO event offers fresh, made-from-scratch Perkins pancakes, sausage, juice and Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. There will again be special accommodations for those with food allergies. It includes allergy-free tables and separate preparation areas for those menu items. There will be a student art expo and many musical performances including school bands, chorus groups, and dance ensembles. A newly enlarged children’s game area will entertain toddlers through school age kids.

Pre-sale tickets to the PTO Pancake Breakfast will be sold beginning mid-February through students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. They will also be available at The Learned Owl Book Shop on Main Street. Pre-sale ticket prices are $4.50 for children and $6.00 for adults. At-the-door tickets can be purchased for $5.00 for children and $7.00 for adults.
